“This picture is a small section of Yew Trees #108, enlarged and hand-colored. I was interested in having four distinct panels surrounded by borders, and the challenge of creating a continuous composition. I like how the eye moves across the sections horizontally. The viewer can look at each panel on its own, or in relationship to the whole composition. This creates an added richness and interdependence between the parts and the whole.” — Greg Thatcher
