“This piece is an experiment with metal leaf and Cad. Yellow. First, I started with the gold leaf on the background. I found that the gold was too much of a contrast, and then applied Cad. Yellow to soften the reflective quality of the gold leaf. Once the reflective background gold was reduced, the yellow harmonized the picture.” — Greg Thatcher
