“The original drawing was completed over 2 summers on location in the churchyard. My inspiration came from how the boughs and foliage of the tree extended out in a wave-like motion. The viewers is are drawn into the composition and their focus is moved from one side of the tree to the other, and back again. I enlarged the print and used hand coloring to create a colored version of #119.” — Greg Thatcher
